DCTMA HOSTS COUNTY BIKE TO WORK EVENT FEATURING PROTECTED BIKE LANE DISPLAY

The Delaware County Transportation Management Association hosted a Bike to Work event on Friday, May 20 in conjunction with the National Bike to Work event celebrated in May each year.

The annual educational component featured a pop-up display of a Protected Bike Lane, the subject of HB 140 which is up for vote in PA Senate. Speakers included State Sen. Tim Kearney, D-26 a member of the Senate Transportation Committee and a supporter of the legislation. Also in attendance were Delaware County Council members Elaine Schaefer and Christine Reuther as well as PennDOT District 6 Safety Press Officer Krys Johnson sharing support for the initiative.

DCTMA thanks Senator Kearney, County Council, PennDOT District 6, the Borough of Media and our presenting sponsor Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union for contributing resources to make this happen.
